So far, so whatever.
The more unusual bit is that my two youngest daughters, twins, were born with the help of a surrogate mother in the USA. This is not something most Brits go and do. Luckily, most don’t need to. However, some do. I am blogging for them. For us. And judging by the media furore which tends to surround all things surrogacy, my blogs are for anyone whose interest is piqued by this exciting and unique way of creating families.
When we went on our surrogacy journey there were few people to ask for advice, especially about surrogacy in the USA. Whilst US surrogacy agencies can be very helpful, they have little understanding of the particular challenges intended parents from the UK have. It felt like putting a massive jigsaw together. Now we know how well all the pieces can fit together, it is my privilege to help other families successfully through the surrogacy minefield.
